Education & Legislation are the Cornerstone of Change

We believe that education is the cornerstone of change. TYR is committed to bringing research-based education and awareness to communities large and small. We will conduct training that presents factual information in a professional manner to school boards, legislators, community groups, and other organizations.  We wish to change the narrative from relying on misleading and misguided information to accurate information, a narrative that garners accepting and supportive environments for trans/non-binary youth.

In collaboration with other stakeholders, TYR will meet with elected officials to bring accurate information through awareness and education to fight for the rights and protections of trans/non-binary youth locally, statewide, and federally. Our work will include cosponsoring legislation and ensuring that the voices of trans youth and their families are present throughout the process. We will also endorse candidates who will fight for the rights and protection of trans youth.
